Quick update: November 15 2009
The first half of November has been incredibly busy for the whole family. Grandma caught Spring Fever and decided it was time for Grandpa to be shoe-horned into the smallest, coldest/hottest (winter/summer) room in the house, right next to the main toilet and bathroom — the only rooms smaller— along with all my belongings, computers, office equipment, etc. Claustrophobia is a distinct possibility after the open spaces of the family room, but everything’s handy in here. Here’s webcam photo of me putting a cheerful face on things, grinning like an idiot, reinforced by the fact that I’ve buttoned up my polo shirt incorrectly, no doubt confirming Grandma’s low assessment of my mental faculties.
The Berry family are due to return home today (Sunday 15 November) from four days in Tasmania. We hope the trip was as wonderful as expected.
Loughie and Naomi spent four days and nights at “Sleep School” this past week, trying to establish better sleep patterns for him. He seems to be settling more into routine since returning home.
Craig, Miriam and Jet Ellis are at a wedding in Creswick, north of Ballarat in the Golden Triangle (and where the Whitehouse/Caddy lines of the family are still represented). Miriam organised matching suits, shirts and ties for Craig and Jet to wear. We look forward to posting some photos shortly.
Nana Counsel is keeping well, while Josh picked up a bout of pneumonia in Hong Kong before leaving. He’s also on the mend back home in Florida, and pleased to be back with Paulina and Isis after a 10-week absence. The Halloween spectacular at Ocean Park went well, and he’s made lots of new friends during his stay there.
Loughie and Jet have both starting saying “Mum” in the first half of November, much to their mothers’ delight.
If you have news updates, please let me know so I can post it here. Or learn to post it yourself (most family members have “contributor” or “editor” status).
More shortly…!
